I need some help with this. The 'Information about ships and turrets:' shows no defenses, so why is my chance of failure so high, I should meet with no resistence?

This player has 1731 pts. and 1140 WPs and is an (i). Each time I do an 'Espionage' I get basically the same answer. The FAQ does not seem to answer this.

What gives?

The chance of failure refers to the spy probe itself and has nothing to do the report. The game can't know what fleet you have or something. The percentage is so high because your level is around the level of espionage of the other player. But don't ask how the shoot down the probe without having defense turrets - maybe they have BB guns,I don't know

And please, don't post on the forum spy reports of other players. At least delete the coordinates.

The espionage works the following way:
3 or more levels difference in your favor you always get a full report.
2 levels difference in your favor - 0-9% chance* to receive incomplete report.
Difference +-1 level the chance varies with 30%*.

*-Chance of failure
