I like rading (i) with low points - makes me feel powerful and clever.
However, I very rarely find an (i) with low points who has any gas at all.

Why does it happen like that?

What if I tell you that gas increases only if you have gas mines ... And let you know (or remind you) that the base amount of gas (without Gas mines) is zero (0) ... Now can you make your conclusion from here ?

Indeed, it is so.
I forgot Gas has no base income.

Damn it, you are forcing me to fight with real, living opponents!

You can collect asteroids with recyclers (if you have such ships ) - they are good for gas extraction ... Otherwise - sooner or later you'll have to face a live opponent

If you don't want to fight real people (boring), just find a planet (i) which has a score more than zero (at least 500points)... Then you'll have a planet with gas ... There are plenty of planet like this... i even see a planet (i) with a score of 3k+...

Just look around the galaxy

You're forgetting that we all have different time zone. 3:00am for you will not be 3:00am for me.
And how would you know if people are asleep unless you are a bulfleet general and you can see the last time they log on.
And you're forgetting fleet-resource save.. I'm asleep but you'll find no ship and very little resources in my planet... You'll find more in resources in planet(i)... So follow Dr.J advice, but first do espionage in a planet(i) before attacking it... (so you are sure it got resources or else you'll be wasting your time... And some 3K+ planet(i) might get some defense)

I'm a n00b but guest... am surviving

Good luck and happy flying... I was out for 20 days and i got back a few weeks ago... All my ships destroyed but i still manage to stay in top 170... Not bad for a N00b hehehe... Top 70 in resources...

Oh, did i mentioned i destroyed all 5 original planets i have and built 5 new ones... Because i was a n00b and built all my 5 planets in a single galaxy and i was being farm ....

My advice, keep on flying and ship-resource saving until you have enough tech & ship army
