Espionage.

this guy was spying on me and i got this messages:
Fleet from [x:xxx:x] was spotted near our planet [y:yyy:y], probably spying for information! Fleet was destroyed.
few seconde later he sand another spy and it didnt get destroyed.
why is that? and when or wht i can do so that fleet will destroyed?

And there is a chance...

The espionage works the following way:
3 or more levels difference in your favor you always get a full report.
2 levels difference in your favor - 0-9% chance to receive incomplete report.
Difference +-1 level the chance varies with 30%.

So how is it that ive sent 20+ missions to another planet, have used one or two spy probes in these missions. Had no full reports, one destroyed and yet when i atack this planet it says i have a greater level of espionage than him.
Also your explanation above does not make much sense. 3 or more levels , you get a full report always. i have never experienced that in this game so am not convinced although maybe i have never been 3 levels higher.

difference + - 1 the chance varies with 30%??? what does that mean. varies from what , between what?

i know these are just quotes from the xs FAQs but can someone shed more light on them?

You were never 3 levels higher than the ones you spied on... Try getting lvl 3 Espionage and spy on an inactive (i)... You'll get full report...

If you have 2 lvls higher than your target, you can have 90% change of getting full report. If your are unlucky you'll get incomplete report...

For this one i'm not quite sure but i think you'll have 0 to 30% chance of getting report (its random...)


Also if you have attack someone and they didn't receive sms notification, your espionage level can be the same or higher than your target... Try attacking your self, you won't get sms notification...

The espionage levels determine if your opponent will receive SMS-alert upon launching an attack towards his planet or not. If you have lower or equal Espionage level than he has – he will, but if you are the one with the higher level, SMS-alert won’t be sent. - include the attacks on your own colony.

Maybe there is some problem with the SMS alert...? Which universe is this?
