zelph написа:QUOTE(zelph @ Jul 21 2008, 16:19) I'm guessing this is the right place for this, haven't seen this bug report yet.

From a planet, you send out a fleet of cargoships on a transport mission. Then you delete the planet from where the fleet started.
Now I can't find my cargo fleet on any of my planets. My messages said that the fleet returned to my already abandoned planet and they disappeared.
The mission you should have used is Station ... Otherwise your fleet will go back to your deleted planet and disappear (as now) ! So you see transport means to deliver some resources and take your ships back - It has no sense of doing otherwise - so you made this mistake once and try to avoid it from now on ... ;)
zelph написа:QUOTE(zelph @ Jul 21 2008, 16:19) During planet deletion, there was no warning that there is a fleet on the move from the soon-to-be deleted planet to stop me from deleting. Is there a check in place to prevent other user from making the same mistake or as a player, we should already know this minor detail?
Well unfortunately the game can't anticipate your moves - you must calculate the consequences yourself !

NO BUG HERE ! :74:

zelph написа:QUOTE(zelph @ Jul 22 2008, 02:03) So maybe it isn't a bug but it's sure an error. The end result is not what is expected.
I play another game that is very similar to bulfleet(same playing style and idea) but they do have a check in place for such a case.

I think the higher ups need to put this problem on their "to do" list. It seems like a small thing to add.
Upon deletion, check if any fleet is on the move to/from the planet. Maybe 5 or less lines of code. Granted, i have no idea what the code looks like.
Well, let's hope that xepa will be so kind to take a look at the topic again and may approve this "suggestion"
zelph написа:QUOTE(zelph @ Jul 22 2008, 02:03) I would love to get my cargoships back but if nothing happens soon, my messages will be auto-deleted. Then how am i suppose to contest the error?
Well, unfortunately nobody will restore your ships, so don't count on that - people have suffered fleet loss that way and it's their fault - there's nothing to be restored ... However you could simply save your messages to a Notepad if you don't plan of posting them in the forum, yet ! :74:

P.S. ... Aaaaand I suggest you to make a proposal topic about this in Ideas & Suggestions and then you can hope for the best :)
