The gas usage for each ship, what is that multiplied by? I mean, for example, the Guardian is 300. Now that 300 is times by what? Thank you for any clarification.

The formula is a little bit more complicated than a simple multiplication.
You can try this: Select 1 Guardian on a mission on the second screen, where you can set the
different percentage of Speed, click on View Source and check out the JavaScript code which calculates
the needed Gas. This is the formula.
