Whenever I try to access the ship market in universe 1 I get this error message No input file specified. does anyone know anything about this?

You should have trade centre at level 7, to acces the ship market, make sure that this building is upgraded to level 7 on the planet you want to trade

I have a level 7 trade center and have sold and bought several ships in the market. Today however when I went to buy some ships I kept getting the previous error.

From what I've read in the BG section, there is some sort of a bug or just a problem with the market and it is temporary switched off. Somewhere Kaos wrote that the market is going to start working again tomorrow.
