Hello.

Does anyone know if there is any point in researching a technology past a point whereby the building/ship you were after is now available?

E.g. Guardian Ship requires Impulse Tech Level 4 & Ion Tech Level 2.

Is there any boost to Guardian ships if you research Impulse Tech and/or Ion Tech past this point?

Direct benefit - no. But researches about speed will increase your speed globally....and the same for shielding and weapon systems
