You can do it only with recyclers/tankers. This way you load some gas from the bypassing asteroids.

Same as recycling (you can use only recyclers or tankers), the difference comes from the fact you don't recycle leftovers from a battle but an asteroid and you can gain only gas form it . Asteroids are visible in the galaxy menu (red "A" next to the number of the planet on the particular solar system) the trick is to calculate when your recyclers will reach the coordinates and send them to "ambush" the asteroid. you can see how much time it takes an asteroid to move from one field to another (notice that the date and exact time shown for the next move is for local time GTM+2 if you are in a different area you will have to do some more calculations. the amount of gas on the birth of an asteroid is from 1000 to 200000 the amount of gas is absolutely random.
Remember one more thing Resources send on for example tankers with mission flight Astroploatation
anyway I thing the word is a hybrid between asteroid and exploitation.

I think he asks about the meaning of the word in general , not in the game.
It is made of two words- Asteroid and Exploit.Said with other words. an activite,that exploites the asteroids(takes their gases)

agree with you but I didn't find any explanation Astroploatation in English in the forum, so I decided to be nice and explain it to him if there is an explanation it is well hidden
