When the astroid has generated, it starts with random chosen constant of gas and speed for moving (for example - astroid generated in 1:100:1 with 55085 gas and 32 mins speed for moving/field).It will move every field with this speed, and the gas in it will be the same on every field, until someone astroplotate it.Then in it there will be 27542 gas...

Ok, thanks for Royal's background info:)

On topic, you need to catch the asteroid before it moves on the next field. Its speed 32mins/field means that it will stay on the current field exactly 32min and you can catch it if you go there in this 32min range. Its the same if ur going to arrive on the 10th min or on the 21st. The result will be the same.


By the way you should exploit the asteroids only when you are online. If you go off line you risk to miss it.

Thanks for helping me also to understand a little more about astropolation. Is there any way of determining how much gas would be on an asteroid prior to sending a ship to it?

with each astroplotate, it decreases... can you send multiple missions to the asteroid and each mission able to recycle some of the gas? or does 1 person recycle, then it is out of gas until it moves to the next field?
ie i have 3 fleets headed to astroplotate an asteroid... they will all get to the field at the same time... will each fleet get gas? or just one of them?
