The Shield and MegaShield were supposed to protect ALL defense structures until the shield is destroyed, why this isn't happening? The defense structures are destroyed randomly in ticks and the shield isn't down when u get with no firepower on the planet.

If u don't believe me try the battle simulator and add a couple of defenses and a megashield and u will notice the destruction of the defenses very quickly with the shield up.
In this manner the shields are useless

The attack ships shoot randomly, that is true.
that is why shield and mega shield could purchase from the defence, they are kinds of defence as well as VVG rocket.

think about it, if you have only one kind of defence, and shield, then for each round they both have 50% be shoot..

so the more kinds of defence you have, the less chance for shield to show their function..

50% functioning of the shield???
For the better protection of the defense systems, the Shield is developed. Its purpose is to take the hit from enemy flotes and protect the defense systems on the planet.

I am really sorry but 50% functioning for a shield is not acceptable, the defense systems are too weak in structures to stand up to a real fight. The shield and fleet should assure a NET firepower superiority against attackers but this balances alot the game in the direction of fleet building and I do not approve since many people aren't online 20h/day :P . That is why I call it a bug. A shield PROTECTS until collaps, that would be a good implementation ingame.
I understand 50% shooting in ships but not under a shield. All defenses crack in first hit...

I think that designs for balance, just think about it, a battle between two players only have 12 round maximum, if some of the player make like thousands of shield or megashield, so for the same resource, how many battle ships do you think they could destroy or just hurt the defender?

for example,
a shield needs Metal: 10000, Crystals: 10000 and get Structure: 80000.

a guardian needs Metal 20000 Crystals: 7000, attack 2500, structure 27000

for 12 round the guardian only takes 30000 damage.

if you want to say something about the weapon or factory research level, just donot forget there are ship armar and shield research for the [shield] as well..

then if the [shield] has a 100% defence function, there gonna has no battle between any players.

that is unfair......

shields always protect wgg rockets and laser beacons.They are like cargo and mega cargo ships which become targets after all other ships are destroyed.So following the same logic all other defenses have an equal chance of being hit by the ships.
If you look at the resource ratio for a plasma cannon and a destroyer you can see that a plasma cannon roughly equals 4 destroyers at about the same price and that is without the chance that the shields might block the damage coming from the enemy ships which is 76.7.
