USA Wars different country every couple of years. They have more speeders than their enemies and still nobody tells them "WAIT A MINUTE, STOP HITTING WEAKER COUNTRIES".

Face it, that's reality.

You can always activate administrative protection to get 2 days without attacks.

True :) Well, try this:

If you are goin` to be offline lets say for 7-8 hours, find an inactive player (they are marked with an (i) in the galaxy and they can be attacked by anybody, no matter attack range), press the button with the red arrow if you are in Uni3 or the red flag, in the new look of the Uni1 and Uni2 - this means attack at those coordonates. Set all your ships into attack mission, give order and in the "Sendin new fleet" menu, set the speed to a percent that matches for one way half the time you will be offline (if you will be offline for 8 hours for example, set the speed to a percent so the one way route to be 4 hours or as close as possible). Half time to go, half time to return - like this you will match the time you will be offline. Before sending the fleet, load your resources into the cargo of the fleets - be carefull not to load all your gas, keep some to for your fleets to be able to take off ("gas needed" in the menu) - and "Send Fleet!"

If you are playing in Uni2 is a little hard to find an inactive player, considering that there are about 8 days since it started and the time needed that a player go inactive is 14 days. So, you will need to send your fleets toward an active player (that matches your attack coefficient ofc.). If you consider that with the ships you have, you can`t win the battle, you will have to log in some minutes before your attack will reach the destination and "Call back" your fleet. (Fleet menu)

Another option is to make deffence... But the deffence turets are like magnets for the others... and they will attack you and recicle what they destroy...

Try to search about topics in the forums, there are many more ideas, written for begginers and not only them. If I remember well, Insomniac had a nice post about this kind of "defending yourself".

Rule N1:
Do not allow a lot of resources to stockpile without control on your planet.

You can achieve this in several ways:

1. Make yourself a zombie and check your account at every 10 minutes. Although if you have a neighbour with enough cruisers and speed researches in the system that may not be enough.
2. Do not overbuild your mines. If you upgrade your mines to much they`ll keep pouring resources out and that`ll make you attractive target.
3. Defense works for some time. Even if you have the most notorious AA polygon that won`t save you from several guys who make their mind to wipe you out and share the recycled resources.
4. As Harkon said - FLEETSAVE! And fleetsave precisely. If you do not plan your gaming and do your fleetsaves properly, you are out.

And for all the people that complain - I`ve been playing actively or not so actively for nearly 2 years. For this time I have my ships broken on a planet of mine less than 10 times. That means it`s possible to play and have fun, right?
