Dear user,

Here are some general hints and advises for a beginning player. As long as this is a long term game (a session goes for 6 months in Universe 1, Universe 2 and Universe 3 and three months in the Hardcore Universe) it is of outmost importance to determine your playing role. There are mainly two types of game play – one depending mostly on your own production or the so called miners` game and another depending mainly on other peoples` production or the pirates` game. But let’s begin with the first steps.

Resources and Energy

There are four resources – metal, crystal, gas and energy. The first three are cumulative, the last one is not. To produce any of the first three substances you need mines. The higher level mines you build, more resources you get and more energy you need to upgrade your buildings to the next level. Please, pay attention that buildings like the shipyard, the research and trade centre and the robots and terteth factories require certain amount of energy but do NOT consume it like the mines` upgrades. You can get extra bonuses by producing extra units of robots and/or terteths (AI robots) and researching the Energy systems in your Research facility. You can gain energy by building solar panels or solar satellites but the latter are pretty fragile and will be gone after the first attack against your world. Have in mind that the negative energy income does not afflict the rate of your mines production but renders you unable to upgrade your buildings and research.

Alright I have some mines but I want to fly!

Here comes the tricky part… There are three main categories of battle ships and the fearsome Deathstar. The lowest class is comparatively easy to build but its fragility and feeble firepower does not make it a good decision in the long term. So do not stick to masses of scouts or field fighters. Your priority in the beginning is achieving of enough research and shipyard level to allow you to build mega cargoes and recycler. But in order to start building anything you need at least second level of Robots factory so you can build a shipyard.

What about someone goes after my income?

There is a beginners` protection in the game. No one can attack a player below 100 points. When you pass that barrier you submit to attacks. In order not to get you crushed there is a limit in the points of the players that can attack you and that you can attack.

Several more issues:

*Pay attention on your warehouse capacity - if you have 2nd level metal warehouse you cannot store more then 150 000 (225 000 for the Noxis-- 25% bigger resource storage) units of metal.

*You can upgrade your ships in the factory menu. However spending resources for upgrades of multiple types of ships is a waste. The scout and the field fighter recieve 5% bonus on damage and hull structure per level, the guardian and the battleship 8%, the bomber and the destroyer - 11%, the Deathstar - 13%. Upgrading Cargoes and Mega cargoes is useless.

*In order to improve your construction speed you need to upgrade the robots factory for the buildings and the shipyard for the ships and defensive structures. The terteth factory effects both buildings and ships constrution times.

*You need to choose comparatively early in the game how you are going to play. If you intend to be a pirate, play with swift attacks, then your answer is the Guardian ship with its 15000 basic speed, average damage and average hull. If you go for a more balanced game then your fleets should consist of battleships - they have ample cargo space, good firepower and hull and acceptable speed of 10000. However their metal/crystal purchase ratio is worse - much of the so needed crystal will go into the fleet instead in research. If you intend to take it easy without fights you can stick to the destroyer (let`s presume you survive so far) - it has excellent firepower and hull but is very slow - basic speed of 5000 and pretty expensive as long as it costs nearly as much crystal as metal and you need gas for it's construction. Of course, there is an option in which you can use mixed fleets but it`s a trade of faster production and more resources spent in upgrades. Have in mind that a fleet flies with the speed of the slowest ship.

How can I increase the number of fleets I have?
By researching Radar Systems - with every extra level you can send one more fleet.

How can I build a Shipyard?
In order to build a Shipyard Robotics factory level2 must be built.

How can I colonize a new planet?
To acquire a new planet you need a colony ship. Shipyard level 2 and Jet systems level 3 are necessary for this. You can only colonize a free position in a system. You cannot capture an existing planet.

I sent the recyclers with the attacking fleet but they gathered nothing.
The recyclers and the colony ships are sent on their specific missions through different menus - the so called Astroploatation,Recycle and Colonise. It`s strongly recommended that you send your recyclers (on recycling) before the main attack and after that adjust the speed of the attack so the recyclers should reach the coordinates 15-20 min after the hit. If your recyclers arrive later you risk any of the Big Boys to come around and gather your debris field.

How can I get SMS alerts?
First you need a premium account. Instead of a mobile number you write down your mail and set your mail to alert you for incoming mails. Have in mind that if the attacker has a higher Espionage level than yours there will be no alert.

I switched on a vacation mode but all my fleet is gone.
If you haven`t logged for fourteen days your account is considered inactive and is opened for attacks from everyone. If your account is still premium this period is 20 days. However if you are struck earlier send your military reports and the reports for the thefts to support.bulfleet.com so you can be compensated.

If you do not find your answer here contact the Guides in game. You can see a list with the Guides in the Help menu with their last action online so you can find an active Guide easily. If you are not sure in their answer or you need to report a bug or unfair play, you can do it at support.bulfleet.com .

I believe it is time to reopen this topic. Go with your questions but, please, check whether somebody has already asked the same thing.
