How about u try something differnet than just the same old same old it gets a little dull the game could use improvments.
any game can use improvments.

I like most of the ideas except the ion missle thingy - which makes it impossible for a last minute fleetsave.
The launch pad. That makes it WAY to easy to ninja and WAY to cheap to FleetSave.
The Mobile Star fotress - Ships Carrying ships = bad idea making it way to easy for palyers with more recouses to cream everyone.
and decoy drones... Scouts are basically your cannon fodder of choice and they cost about half as much.

Many thanks for an excellent thread; I, too, like the "Patrol" idea; personally, I guess I would have thought that you would station ships as you would with your own planet, and then cancel the patrol when you want to recall your ships, but your way would be good.
I think I agree about the"ships carrying ships" idea, except that perhaps you could limit your carrier (because that's what it is, really) to only lower-level ships....scouts, cargo ships, and field fighters, perhaps recyclers? What max limit for ships on this beast?
Personally, I love carriers. They are my weapon of choice in other games.

i agree we should be able to send a fleet to defend a friend ( you know your friend can use the 72h immune so he cant ba attacked for 72h and maybe he can buyild a small attack force up)

Hey, i agree. These types of games need to be flashy. From past exp from Utopia, teamwork is a big hit right now. They did it by having a kingdom or in bulfleet as solar system but they work together. You need this style of gaming to attract more players. Clans is a first step but there is room for improvement. The flying fortress to be honest is rather lame. Even if you park it right in front of your enemy's planet and attack, wat point is it? Its not like you can train new reinforcements or it can support it self. The point of it is a forward base right? A forward base need to support it self. Wat happens if was defenseless and got taken over?. Will it act like a planet? These are big problems you need to think about before you the go go for it.
