I dont wanna be invulnerable, the main idea of defence - you can be brought down but the attacker has no profit from doing that
I remember the times when BF didnt have pirat flights - It was a hundred times better
another thing - the filed fighters dont steal much, but they stop my growth
the problem is EVERYONE around me makes pirat fleets and they dont even attack each other so I have 10+ pirat attacks a day. and I'm sure I'm not the only one screwed up like that
The Pirat-attack Idea is overpowered

I don't really see it. It's set up so that there's an attack method and there's a countermeasure for it, and the complaint is basically "I don't feel like using the countermeasure because the way I feel like playing should be enough".
From what Jade said, the whole point of mechanics like the pirating is so that strategies like super-concentrating on defense have drawbacks.

Maybe try to balance pirate ships this way:
1) They have a slightly larger cargo hold.
2) They take one or two rounds of combat from defense structures (as opposed to most 6+ rounds of combat). This makes sense since pirates never really would make undefended sneak attacks, but would instead make quick raids (unless you start to consider the large, more infamous pirates). That way, there are losses suffered but they are not severe. If they break through field fighters, they gain resources (just as it is now-- I do not pirate so my understanding of the mechanics might be off). If they damage or do not damage defenses, it does not matter.
