Yes, and if your target has no ships either, then you only need cargoships. You don't need fighting ships in that case.

where is this "miner" ability located. i never knew anything about it til now. sure beats spending 45 nanos on "resources".

In the left side menu bars, under Premium, look for Specialties. And yes, it's much better than buying 8 hours of production for 45 nanocredits. ;)

The Bulfleet PDF is a good document to download and read. Unfortunately, it doesn't explain the difference between energy and resources. Energy is like electricity. It doesn't accumulate like metal and crystals.

To get more energy, you must build more solar panels. Build them as you go because you only need enough to power your mines (and small amounts for robots and science building). When you get your solar panels to levels 20-25, then you might consider building solar satellites. Solar satellites are cheaper but are the first things destroyed in an attack.
