Language Glitch

I have done a search and posted in the other Language Support thread that was done recently, but to avail.

I cannot change the language to English or anything else for that matter. It simply refuses to budge from something resembling Russian. I have cliked on all the flags, reloaded several times and tried all the different servers. I have checked machine and IE settings, but it simply refuses to budge. I do not have language issues in any other online game that I play, which is quite a few.

Would like to add this one to the list, but at the moment it seems completely impossible. All suggestions welcome.

im only guessing but have you tried delete all your IE files and history goto tools/ internet options/ delete/ delete all/ check delete all settings made by addons, then hit ok

I hadnt but now I have and still cannot get it to come up as English. The login page is fine, but as soon as I log in then that's it - no more English.

What IE version are you using mine is currently 7,

in internet options do you have privacy settings to defult this may affect cookies, also have you tried to reset advanced settings in the advanced tab but dont do the lower rest button at the bottom

Yeah I am on 7 as well and I have tried those other aspects as well. Seems it doesnt like me. I will be able to try a different computer on a different connection at the weekend so see if that makes a difference. Wont help for during the week though.

I don't know if this matters probably not, are you by any chance using a proxy server

It is a proxy server where I am during the week and that had occurred to me, but cant see why it would affect as the proxy is in UK so English settings should abound. However, when I get to a non-proxy server at the weekend then that might reveal the answer to that one.

Other option is to try with firefox

Working at Home so it must be the proxy server thing when I am away during the week. Any ideas on that one??

GOT IT!

Managed to get it to English when away from proxy - went to account settings and changed the country to United Kingdom and saved it. When I came back to the proxy it worked.
