Colonies - gameplay advice needed

Hi,

What is your opinion about colonies?
Should I get one as soon as I can?

What are the pro's and con's of having a colony? (i.e.: Do you produce more resources like that?)

I've told u already, but... - yes, yes, and yes :}

some advices - colonise near an enemy (some lame will be a good choice :} ) with more than 1 planet in his system (to use him like a "donor") and he'll became an easier target. mines are good... very good indeed . but look out - it's not good for you if you become someone else's "donor"
in addition - more planets = faster production of ships

etc... use ur imagination :>

*lame = account who stays more offline than online, not playing defensive

If someone believes that I should not colonize early, may he speak right now or remain silent for ever...

If this guy, LoaD tells you something concerning bulfleet, don't waste time in searching for a second opinion !
And yes I confirm that colonising a planet is another step in the development of your account ... Building mines, a shipyard and therefore faster ship productivity. Me, myself don't use colonies because I collect my resource and profit from stealings not building mines but I mustn't stop for a day launching attacks so I could flourish and that is a bit annoying !

Colonies aren't only for mines... I usually use them for platforms. For battle ships, recyclers etc. Then mines... They're great to have more range for attacking and recycling. So your productivity not only by mines ups 5 times.

May I suggest put that colony one in each galaxy first coordinate 1:xx:xx, 2:xx:xx, 3:xx:xx, 4:xx:xx, 5:xx:xx
