Are defense points reduced after losing a battle?

Are the points of the destroyed turrets etc. (the 40% that aren`t restored) deducted from their owner`s points?
It is stated that they are not reduced in this forum (http://www.bulfleet.org/viewtopic.php?t=34138), but it seems to me they are deducted.

in a battle if the attacker destroys ALL of the defence turrets the defender looses all of the points he invested in those turrets. and the attacker will GAIN war points for all of the points the defender lost.

after the battle 60% of the lost turrets will be rebuilt. but the defender does not gain 60% of the points lost.

no.if you are losing a battle,the points are reduced depends on what you lost(I don't know the factors,don't ask me for that)
ships and turrets destroyed are counted,converted and deducted from your points

On the contrary he does but not gain - the turret defender doesn't lose any points at all (or at least not all that he has paid for ! Otherwise everybody would be building defences.
