Bug in the avatar selection?

I (thankfully) haven't had to post here in awhile, but I think I've discovered a minor bug in the avatar system.

I recently, i.e. today, edited a picture in Adobe Photoshop CS2 to shrink it to the required size for use as an avatar, but alas, your server doesn't seem to want to take it. I click the browse button, select the file, click save changes, and the path bar blanks out. I did this twice and tested the results by sending a message to myself, but no avvy. Ah.
The file's physical size is: 500 x 375, and the file size is 9.91 KB, well within the limit specified. The image is also of course, a JPEG. I've attatched it to this message, dunno if it will show up or not though...

My system is Windows XP, browser is Firefox 2.0.0.14, if you need any other info, just ask.

i think if you convert jpg image to gif it will be no problem to upoad an avatar. ok

open photoshop go to "file save for web" and then save as gif format .

File must be .jpg, .gif and nothing else. Maximum 100x100 pixels ...
