no warning downtime

Why is it that i cannot spy or attack? this is the third time i think this universe 3 that this has happened without warning or / and explanation.
Can i get compensation if i get attacked and i am asleep because i wanted to fleetsave but because the rules were temporarily changed i could not? what is the score with that? what is the score with communication in general? its rare to find a guide that is not on holiday, given up or that can be arsed to reply.

Just thought id reply to my own question as noone can be arsed to reply to my query. I guess that answers my own question.

If an error happens (server temporary down, external flood, etc), the administrators give immunity to all players to attack and pirate missions for at least 12 hours. When you try to attack someone, you get a message with the time/date when the immunity expires. If you cannot be online at that time, send your fleets with station mission between your own planets

thanks for replying but what if the downtime starts when my fleet is away, and i am asleep when it ends, or not near a computer? i only have one planet.

If your fleet is away and it comes back while you are sleeping, then no comment . Keep doing that and you won't have a fleet regardless of technical problems with the servers
