You cannot select which resource you want to take.
always 50% of metal on that planet, then 50% of crystal, 50% of gas.
you could send several fleets to one target to drain the planet.
and normally there is no or just very little gas on the inactive (i) planet. for the gas purpose you'd better take the Astroid mission....
