well we have the death star that can blow up a planet so how about we have a invasion ship. were you send it to a planet and it has a 5% chance of capturing the plant and its mines and resorces.
but you can only build 1 invason ship at a time and you can only invade people with more than 1 planet. also the mothere ship is has verry weak weapons and all the othere stats as the deathstar (exsept the weapons).

or

we could have it so that if you have a mothere ship you could build ground forces to load into the mothere ship and you could also build ground forces to repell an invading army?

what do you guys think good or bad idea?

I do like the idea of having ground forces, your second suggestion was probbally the best one.
