HI,
somebody has been spying near my planet a stole my resources.
I thought that if I build a planetary shield a some cannons, it will not be possible, but I was mistaken.
Could you give me an advise how to prevent it?
Do I have to build a lot of ships? If yes, is defence on the planet (cannons) necessary or uselessl or is it worth building?

Steeling resources
Well, defenses are not useless, but there will always be somebody who can get past them. And if that somebody attacks you, they will take your resources.
A better way to keep resources safe is to "fleetsave." Search the forum for that term so you can read the discussion about defenses, but here is a post that explains fleetsave very well.

At some point, you may have 50 or 60 ships with resources, but that's how you do it. Also, try to colonize your additional four planets as quickly as possible. This way, you can transport resources to your smaller planets. You will also produce more resources, so the loss of a few thousand resources won't hurt as much.
And of course, be as active as possible.
