No battle report, debris field now at planet attacked?

I just got blank battle reports from systems 162-8 and 128-7; I had send megacargo ships to both places, both abandoned planets. I see now a huge debris field at both systems. What happened??? Did I lose my ships? WHY???? No points used at either planet by former owner, so it can't be defenses???

I notice that the huge debris fields are disappearing, one element at a time, as if they are being hit by recyclers. Could this have been deliberate? Or is somebody just taking advantage of the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of units of metal, crystal, and gas laying around at these planets, waiting for recyclers?

This suck. If this is a normal part of game play, then it needs to SAY so in the instructions for the game; if its not, if its a bug, then PLEASE fix it SOON.

Yes, the same thing happened to me. I send cargo ships to abandoned (i) planet with no defenses, and I get blank battle report and there is now a debri field around the planet. However, fortunately my cargo ships came back. They came back empty (zero resources) but they did come back.
