Better Communications
Believe me, this part of the forums is MUCH better than the rest. When someone makes a jump in points, or shows recognisable force in the game, in the forums flaming starts with threads like "What is the personal relationship between (the Administrator/Moderator/SN from the team) and (the player)." Moreover, many of you, guys (and ladies) have the habit to read, hence most stupid questions, if asked, are asked just once.
I agree that some design changes could greatly improve communications in Bulfleet. Even better than external forums are internal forums. There are a few games out there (Travian, Camorra World) that display every player's profile as its own web page. Further, alliances have their own webpage (like Bulfleet, but with more features), plus their own internal forums.Jakkz написа:QUOTE(Jakkz @ Jun 12 2007, 08:56 PM) I found this game from another similar browser-based game, and in that game, one of the best things about it is the community.
Some of these changes are easy, requiring only a link embedded in the HTML code the php engine produces. For example, in the Buddy List, when you click on the name of your buddy, you should be able to see his profile instead of only being able to send a message. The profile could the have links for Transport, Espionage, Attack, etc. (your "buddies" are not always you friends, LOL!).
This proposal is filed for eventual realization. Have in mind that we are a volunteer team with a single developer and it may take some time.
Thank you for your good idea and patience.
