I Wish to Report Someone

Not for language abuse in a message, but for waging a personal war against me. Headman at 3: 215: 3 has been launching attack after attack at me even when it's not entirely profitable. 83 scout missions in the past 24 hours as I write this. And I have little to no resources available for him to be spying for. In the past he's attacked me and immediately after sent a message saying, "Hey mate, how ya doing today?" Now I can understand this to be an in game taunt, but that's just the beginning. He's repeatedly called me egocentrical (yes, I know egocentrical is supposed to be spelled ego centrical but apparently he isn't). He's been attacking me for several weeks now. Once I even sent away my fleet before he could hit, but he was actively spying, saw no resources, and kept the attack anyway. I've asked him to stop... and for maybe... half an hour he will. Then right back to attacking again. Our two alliances had a NAP in the works, he was still pressing the attack, promising to keep up his assaults until it was finalized. When I inform my commander of this, and allegedly my commander sent a scout to his boss' planet, Headman decides to accuse me of ruining the NAP.

Now the other part of why I wish to report this person. I suspect he or she has multiple people playing one account. I would be in the middle of a conversation with this person, writing out a long reply. They had been nice in the last message, and while I'm writing my response he sends an attack at me, and says, "You didn't answer me, now I attack" UNTIL he got my message, and then immediately pulls back. It doesn't seem like one person's normal behavior, to be in the middle of a conversation and then to suddenly launch an attack, only to pull it back a moment later. There have been several instances when this person, Headman, has tried to recruit me out of my current alliance into his own. One message was the "Join us or die" variety. Another was more like... "I respect you, we proved ourselves, come join me." The third was "It's the only way I'll stop attacking you" Now those three don't exactly look, to me, like one person would write all three, in that order over a period of less than a week.


If you need further details on past events, more proof of my accusations and suspicions, or if you believe I am wrong, please let me know. I'm hoping a game admin will actually see this and reply. It's a rather important issue to me.

Dear Administration,

I am suprised and even amuzed that some people are posting these kind of complaints here. I wouldn't write anything here because I don't think that this matter is for this category at all, as well as I don't think that this is a logical complaint.

I would like to admit that I am guilty. Yes that is true I am guilty of playing the game. If it is possible for the administration to check all the people who were attacked by me during last few days please do so! In that way I prove that I have attacked many people besides SYLVYR (3:152:4). The guy who made a complaint and even didn't give his real nick from the game. However, the interesting part here is that all the other people who were attacked by now for a period of few days had never, never complained to me and here. So my question here is this against the rules to attack people from different alliances or independent more than once?

In connection to the babysitting which I presume of what I am accused here mainly, I play less than 10 hours a day and all my messages correspond to the change in my mood because Sylvyr is irritating me. Perhaps I am the only person here who can be irritated and therefore change his behaviour. So if it is true I accept my guilt.

This was a message to me in game by Headman. I see no reason why he has to try and defend himself by talking to me in game. I've made my statement, I won't retract it. I see several weeks of attacking and sending what I felt to be taunting messages before, during, and after attacks as personal. This is a game, it is to be treated as such. It is not something where you can pick on a person because you don't like them. As far as a skillful diplomat is concerned, threatening to demolish someone if they don't join is not being a diplomat, it is being a bully. Accusing me of breaking a potential NAP when I AM BEING ATTACKED is ludicrous.

Headman mentions other people being attacked for days. Sure, a few days and I wasn't complaining. When it gets past a week, then past two weeks, sending messages and lying, taunting, and generally bothering me is when it becomes more than "babysitting" and I feel it is a personal attack. As far as Nemesis and his comment of other people attacking him and not stopping when he asks, I'm surprised there is a lack of empathy for my situation, though I honestly shouldn't expect such from the accused's fellow alliance member. If there is no logic in what I am saying to others who are non-partisan in this matter, then I would like to hear it. Of course anyone on my alliance will most likely support me, as anyone with Headman will support him. That's why I ask admins and fellow players to see this issue.

Really? Well... see... you weren't explaining much of anything to me. So Headman, if my messages annoyed you, you could have said so. And you finally tell me to stop messaging you with a threat to report me if I send another? How hard is it to simply say, "Please stop messaging me, it's annoying?" To the admins, if I ever asked him anything about the game, he certainly didn't answer me, and I found my answers elsewhere. From friends on the site, and from the forums.

this is kinda a flame war but how is being attacked by the other alliance breaking a n.a.p.? and "join us or die" does that mean ingame or real life? if you are upset at the attacks activate protection and ignore his messeges then forget him forever more.If he still attacks attack him and end it and say it was retaliation for his attacks to your alliance.that is all i can help offer.

Weaky, the problem with that is that even using the protection, I wouldn't be able to build up a fleet even close to what he keeps pounding me with every single day. Unless he were to make an agreement right here on the forum for everyone to see that he wouldn't attack me after the time was up, it would still be a waste. And I CAN'T pay to get nanocredits and activate a second immunity after the first one. I have no fleet left after all his constant barrages. I've already started ignoring his messages but that doesn't do any good either when he refuses to stop this personal assault against me. The "join us or die" I'm not entirely sure if he meant it in game or in person, I suspect in game. I've tried to end this numerous times. Headman refuses to let this go. That is part of why I consider it a personal attack.

A player may send maximum 10 attacks versus another player, within 24 hours.

Sorry to disapoint you sylvyr but Headman broke no rule of the game by attacking you. There are ways you can avoid the rampages, search the forum for those. If Headman wants to make an agreement with you here on the forum or elsewhere, that is his and your problem, but if he will broke it that doesn't means he will be punished in the game. In the game a player will be punished only if he broke one or more of the game rules.

It may take some effort and planning, but look up "fleetsave." I was skeptical but it really works. Of course, it's not better than not being attacked, but it is an effective countermeasure. I've played other games, and Bulfleet is really pretty well balanced. In other games (Travian, for example), there is no limit to who can attack you or how many times they can attack you, plus attacks can destroy your infrastructure (mines and buildings).
